What's Involved

We start by tracing the actual leak path, since water can travel along the frame before showing up as a stain on the ceiling below. Most repairs involve removing and replacing the flashing around the skylight, resealing the frame-to-roof connection, and checking that the surrounding roofing material is still sound. Condensation between panes, similar to a failed window seal, means the glass unit itself needs replacing rather than resealing.
